Mobil Delvac 1 ESP 5w-40 - A fully synthetic master

St Louis based AEP River operations have a similar energy efficient mid-set to us Increasing efficiency by decreasing drain intervals by using environmentally friendly products in their boats engines.Mobil Delvac 1 ESP 5w-40

At the start of 2012, AEP set out to become an energy efficient and environmentally friendly business by reducing emissions while constantly improving performance and reliability of its vast fleet of vessels. To re-enforce this mission, AEP selected Mobil Delvac 1 ESP 5w-40 ExxonMobil’s fully synthetic diesel engine oil. Mobil Delvac 1 ESP 5w-40 succeeded a conventional mineral oil in the boats’ main and generator engines. The minute Mobil Delvac 1 ESP 5w-40 was put into the machines, the vessel became a fully synthetic, environmentally friendly vessel.

By making the switch to Mobil Delvac 1 ESP 5w-40, AEP have successfully decreased its engine oil usage by a staggering average of 80%. Not only this, but oil drain intervals have extended from 500-1,000 hours to more than 5,000 hours. Furthermore, Mobil Delvac 1 ESP 5w-40 has decreased its waste oil disposal by 80% and reduced overall downtime. These benefits alone have significantly increased production, which in turn has generated more profit for the organisation and less money spent on problems seen previously when using the predeceasing mineral oil.

Signum Oil Analysis was implemented in the field

To observe conditions during this initiative, ExxonMobil’s Signum Oil Analysis programme was implemented to diagnose and test used oil samples. By doing this, Signum can determine and foresee any mechanical problems in the equipment, providing early detection of any engine component failure and/or lube contamination - and ultimately preventing unscheduled maintenance. As Mobil Delvac 1 ESP 5w-40 increased drain intervals so much, oil analysis was conducted on a monthly basis.Signum Oil Analysis Chemicals

Mobil Delvac 1 ESP 5w-40 is perfectly designed for high speed, fast moving engines. The fully synthetic oil has been scientifically formulated, tested and perfected to perform in the most severe marine applications and is excellently paired with towboats and vessels of the like. ExxonMobil of course use the purest, highest quality base stocks and selected booster additives in it’s lubricants to ensure that the resulting product produced is of the highest stature.

Mobil Delvac 1 ESP 5w-40 not only fights degradation of components and improves engine life, it provides significant environmental benefits. Mobil Delvac 1 ESP 5w-40 is known to last 10 times longer than conventional mineral oils which of course equates to a reduced carbon footprint.
