Condor Ferries has announced it has relocated from Weymouth to Poole for the remainder of summer.
Condor Ferries announced in February that it was relocating its regular services between the UK, Channel Islands and Western France to Poole, due to essential repairs at Weymouth Port. The ferry operator has now confirmed that it will remain in Poole throughout the summer, due to these repairs.
WP Group was requested to lend a helping hand by Condor Ferries to transfer 100,000 litres of marine gas from its shore tanks at Weymouth, and put 14,000 litres directly into the Condor Rapide at Weymouth, and its ashore tanks at Poole.
WP Group’s experienced marine team started at 8am on 26 March and had completed the transfer by midday Tuesday 27 March - they had completed the task a day and half before they were expected to.
Captain Fran Collins, Operations Director at Condor Ferries, passed on her compliments to all those involved, “We would like to thank WP Group’s Marine team for all their hard work. The team conducted a professional and smooth operation and we were grateful that the task was successfully completed ahead of schedule.”
